The 4th Sip of CRAFT B.E.E.R (Brainstorming and Exchange for Ethical Recommendations) brought the community together this January for a candid and crucial conversation about our digital lives. Hosted at the Applied Innovation Exchange at Capgemini in Wrocław, the event went beyond the surface level of “screen time” to explore the deeper dynamics between humans and the algorithms that guide us.

Under the theme “Time for a status update?”, the session gathered a diverse ecosystem of business leaders, academicians, students, and citizens. The goal was clear: to move from a passive, often “toxic” dependency on technology toward a healthy, empowered partnership with the tools we use and build.

Interactive dialogue, not passive listening, true to the CRAFT spirit

The event was designed as an interactive exchange rather than a lecture. Using live polling via Mentimeter, participants visualized the room’s “relationship status” with technology. Attendees voted on the biggest “Red/Green Flags” in relationship with technology, discussed digital boundaries, and identified critical trust issues in current tech ecosystems.

The core of the evening was the collective intelligence and toughts of the room, aiming at co-creating a set of recommendations.

Outcomes and next steps

The insights gained from this session: including the poll results and the ideas/thoughts generated via discussion are currently being compiled into a case study. This case-study will soon be made available as an open-access resource online, featuring contributions from the participants who chose to share their voices.

We would like to extend our gratitude to, Michał Adamski, Łukasz Liebersbach, and the whole Capgemini Applied Innovation Exchange team, for hosting us and to everyone who joined the debate. Whether you are a tech creator, a student, or a concerned citizen, your perspective is vital in shaping the future by design, not by default.

Join the conversation

Missed this sip? The CRAFT B.E.E.R series will continue to provide a platform for thought-provoking conversations on the responsible and future technology, so as to CRAFT a future by design, not by default.

Stay tuned to this space for the release of the case study and updates on the 5th Sip of CRAFT B.E.E.R. in February 2026

Cheers – CRAFT Team.
