The CRAFT African Roundtable

What is the event about?

CRAFT is a collaboration based laboratory cum think tank based at Faculty of Management, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland, that aims to facilitate responsible innovation and technology.

CRAFT and Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST), Tanzania, are jointly organizing the First CRAFT African Roundtable meeting in Mbeya (Tanzania) with a focus on establishing deeper cooperation as well as brainstorming and exchange to for shaping a responsible and prosperous technological future for Africa.

Academic institutions, industry – DIHs and government officials in Tanzania and Africa.

Key activities

• Inaugural CRAFT African Roundtable: a high-level, invitation-only intended for triggering collaborations, networking and brainstorming to shape a responsible and prosperous technological future for Africa.
• Potential Collaboration with CRAFT at Faculty of Management, Wrocław University of Science and
  Technology, in the areas of research, education and societal impact programs. Potentially initiative chapters of CRAFT in different locations in Africa, for mutually contributing to the global technology and innovation landscape.
• CRAFT B.E.E.R. (Brainstorming and Exchange for Ethical Recommendations) on Who shapes the future of technology? Responsibility, power, and the role of universities, business, and society: A brainstorming session among  diverse leaders from government, industry, and academia across the continent for creative, structured discussions and actionable recommendations.
• Your institution as a Key Hub: Position your institution at the centre of this conversation on ethical, future-oriented technology by collaborating to drive evidence-based impact locally, regionally and globally.
